The committed shopper will find the marina packed with
top designer boutiques (Guess, Bennetton, Boss etc) and small local stores.
You can also take a trip to either Faro or Albufeira for
wider ranges of shops.
Local
Supermarket:
 |
The nearest supermarket is only 200m away (near
the Galp garage). |
 |
From the front balcony, you will see a road that
runs straight away from the apartment. At the end of that road,
slightly to the right, you will see a modern, fairly anonymous,
building. This is the main Police station. |
 |
Walk straight up the road and go past the Police
station (which will be to your right). |
 |
You will arrive at a small parking area for cars. |
 |
In the left corner of the park, you will see the
supermarket. |
|
Other Supermarkets:
 |
There are larger Supermarkets in Quarteira, which is
about a 10 minute drive. |
 |
The best supermarket we have found is in Almancil,
about 20 minutes away. It is called Appolina and is well sign-posted. |
 |
There are also large supermarkets (Modelo is pretty
good) in Albufeira, about 25 minutes drive. |
 |
Quarteira and Albufeira both have fish markets, which
are worth a visit. |
 |
On Wednesdays, Quarteira holds a large flea market
that is quite a tourist attraction. |
 |
On Saturdays, Loule market is a typical, bustling
Portuguese market day. Linen is particularly good value. |
